WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Tennessee’s Jackson earns TSWA Player of the Week accolade
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee’s Rickea Jackson was voted the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, posting 25.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in two victories for the Lady Vols.
The Detroit, Mich., native made 10-of-13 from the field and 8-for-9 at the foul line at Florida, finishing with 28 points and nine boards in 25 minutes off the bench. The senior forward connected on 10-of-14 shots and recorded 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocks in 27 minutes off the bench versus Alabama.
Jackson is averaging a team-leading 17.4 rebounds along with 5.8 boards per game through 14 contests this season.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: Union’s Parks earns TSWA Player of the Week honors
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Union University’s Tylandrius Parks was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, averaging 23.5 and 8.0 rebounds in two games for the Bulldogs.
The Pocahontas, Tenn., native hit 9-of-17 shots overall with a pair of 3-pointers and was 9-for-11 at the foul line, recording 29 points with eight boards at West Alabama. The senior guard followed that with 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists at Alabama-Huntsville, making 5-of-10 from the field and 7-for-10 at the charity stripe.
Parks has scored 20-plus points seven times this year and averages 20.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists through 13 games this season.
